Some Academic Musings

I am a second-year PhD student at Boston University, where I am part of the Security and Cryptography Group and the Theory Group. I currently work with Profs. Mayank Varia and Ran Canetti.

I am broadly interested in Cryptography and Metacomplexity. Most of my current work falls into one of two main categories: 1.) Practically-motivated models for secure computation and 2.) Connections between various cryptographic primitives and metacomplexity problems. Prior to my PhD, my research was more applied; I spent a considerable amount of time thinking about coercion-resistant e-voting and federated learning over encrypted data.

Before coming to BU, I studied Computer Science and Mathematics at MIT, where I obtained my Bachelor’s and MEng.
